MVP Sportsplex in Grand Rapids hosted our fourth annual Movers & Shakers group fitness cocktail party this summer in partnership with Children’s Healing Center. Movers & Shakers has raised nearly $100,000 over the past four years to help provide a safe place for children with weak immune systems to play through the great work of CHC.
The event welcomed 266 guests to chose from one of six different group fitness classes including Cardio Tennis, Group Fight, Ride, Training For Warriors, Yoga, and a Zumba/Groove Dance Party. Post-workout, attendees enjoyed cocktails, craft beers and delicious food donated by popular local restaurants and eateries throughout the Grand Rapids area on the outdoor pool deck, transformed into an evening party space, at MVP Sportsplex.
This event was the seventh in Movers & Shakers franchise hosted by MVP Athletic Clubs. Events have been held at MVP Athletic Club-Crahen, MVP Metro Club, MVP Athletic Club-Brownwood, RDV Sportsplex Athletic Club, and MVP Athletic Club-Rockford.
Children’s Healing Center, founded in 2015 by Amanda Winn, is the nation’s first year-round recreation center where children with weak immune systems can play in a safe space. The Center offers a wide range of programs that emphasize research-based play, socialization and learning for children and young adults up to 26 years old.
MVP is proud to partner with this organization through donations of Center equipment and consecutive Movers &Shakers events.
