On Sunday, March 17, 2019, RDV Ice Den was converted from providing public skating, figure skating, and youth hockey games to the host site for the Orlando Solar Bears vs. Idaho Steelheads ECHL hockey game.

This was the first regular season game that was hosted by RDV Ice Den in our 21 year history. Orlando Solar Bears season ticket holders attended and there were about 300 people in the stands. Most everyone was wearing some kind of Orlando Solar Bears apparel and it was great to see so much excitement in the Olympic rink bleachers.
